The Challenge
Electrify Aotearoa is NZs biggest women founder conference, designed to accelerate the visibility, leadership, and success of women founders in New Zealand. With creative production spanning several months and multiple contributors, a key challenge was maintaining cohesion across a rapidly growing volume of event assets, from digital promotions to venue branding, speaker collateral, merchandise, and presentation content. Consistency of message and design direction had to be carefully stewarded so that the creative vision set in month one was still executed accurately and powerfully in month six.
Creative Direction & Brand Continuity
My role centred on defining and safeguarding the visual and communication direction of the event throughout the entire production timeline. I developed and consolidated a visual language that expressed the ambition and energy of the event while still aligning with Ministry of Awesome’s broader brand ecosystem. This included:
Marketing & Campaign Design
To support ticket sales, partner engagement, and public awareness, I delivered a suite of marketing assets spanning social campaigns, partner toolkits, email visual assets, and web graphics. The focus was on creating content that was attention-grabbing, digitally shareable, and reflective of our values.
Event & On-Site Implementation
Beyond digital execution, I translated the brand into the physical environment through signage, stage presentations, photography direction, banners, printed materials, and other wayfinding elements. This ensured that attendees experienced the same brand energy in person as they had online, reinforcing the credibility of the event and its mission.
